For the 21st Century

A major hub for the aviation industry, Wichita faces a shortage of skilled workers. To help, Knight Foundation is investing nearly $4 million to better prepare the region's workforce. The effort includes expanding pre-engineering courses in schools and providing enrichment programs at the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Kansas. Now the National Fund for Workforce Solutions is stepping in, with a grant to a Knight-led initiative. Read more.
